Wow! I was really unsure what to expect from this place, but it blew my mind. The dine in experience is a little unorthodox, but it works! It’s strictly first come first serve and the line was wrapped around the building! You order your food at the register and find a table. A server will bring your food when it’s ready and take care of any refills you might need!

Amazing customer service & great food. I got the Spanish omelet with hash browns and rye toast. The omelet was so good and the hash browns thick cut and grilled off crispy and seasoned very well. The rye toast was even thick sliced and very good.

Wow, If you’re in KDH or anywhere on the OBX and want a serious breakfast this place is LEGIT... Don’t be scared off by the line out the door, it’s cafeteria style so there is always a line. The line goes quick and it’s worth the 10-15 minute wait.

This is always a favorite! One of the first places we want to eat upon arriving in OBX and one of the last places we eat before we head out. This is a cafeteria style ordering system. You wait in line and order before going to your table. They bring your food out to your table and always keep your coffee refilled. Their eggs, pancakes, waffle, grits, everything is good. The only thing I've tried which wasn't my favorite was the cheesy grits. The regular grits were very tasty! The service is always phenomenal! The owners are always super pleasant. Love this place!!!!

It’s like a cafeteria style restaurant. All made fresh and very good. Wasn’t a huge fan of the coffee but it still was a nice addition. I got the chocolate monkey pancakes and loved it. My bf got the burrito and Belgian waffles and loved it.

This has got to be everyone’s FAVs in the OBX !! Tourists, locals, everyone !! The menu is so big and food just always great, coffee (5) Star as well and that’s a PLUS for me !! The way everything is set up for the customer’s ease and comfort is everywhere here. Staff and service (5) Star every single time !! Open every day (7 days a week) from 7am-12pm !! The perfect breakfast place to go ... if you haven’t already and on your next visit to OBX, now’s the time !!

Cute sayings around window and door frames, easy ordering, delicious freshly made food, and the best customer service I've ever had. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The best Greek omelet I've ever had hands down I love you don't fluff it with pancake mix it's just eggs.

If it’s your first time here, you should know that the ordering system isn’t the most convenient. First, you have to wait in a long line where there’s only one person taking orders—that’s when you get to see the menu and decide what you want. Then you pay (they charge a 3% fee if you pay by card), and they bring the food to your table. The service is super friendly—every staff member is really nice. The food didn’t take long to arrive. We had the gyro omelette with hash browns and rye toast, and the French toast with berries. Coffee and tea have free refills.

This delightful eatery has quickly become a must-visit destination for tourists and locals alike, thanks to its unique cafeteria-style dining experience and a mouthwatering menu that caters to every craving.

The highlight here—as the name suggests—are the pancakes, and they certainly do not disappoint. From the tropical Island Delight loaded with coconut, chocolate chips, and bananas, to the rich and decadent Chunky Monkey bursting with chocolate and bananas, there is something to satisfy every sweet tooth. For a fruitier option, indulge in the Berry Berry pancakes, a delightful mix of blueberries and strawberries that evoke summer in every bite.

  • Island Delight: Coconut, chocolate chip, and bananas.
  • Chunky Monkey: Bananas and chocolate chips.
  • Banana Split: Bananas, chocolate chips, and pecans.
  • Berry Berry: Blueberries and strawberries.

But the experience doesn’t stop at pancakes. Their French toast and waffles are similarly impressive, boasting options like classic Egg with Bacon or Sausage and Eggs & Country Ham. Each dish is prepared with love and attention to detail, ensuring a wholesome start to your day.

Don’t be deterred by the lines that often wrap around the building; the efficient cafeteria-style system means that you’ll be seated in no time. Customer reviews echo a sentiment of excitement around the unique setup. Amanda Thompson described the unorthodox dine-in experience as “rewarding,” while Dwayne Helmick reassured prospective diners that the brief wait is always worth it.
